TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA/AP)- Busch Gardens says three endangered Malayan tiger cubs were born at its park, and one of the three cubs is in serious condition due to a rare feline skin disease.
A Busch Gardens news release says Malayan tigers are rare and there are only about 500 in the wild in Southeast Asia.
Park officials say the cubs are being cared for by veterinarians, along with tiger parents Bzui and Mata. The cubs will be slowly introduced to the park's tiger habitat in about a month.
One of the cubs is getting treatment for anemia and a rare but benign skin condition.
