(Tampa, Fla. - WFLA) Hillsborough County Detectives have made an arrest in the Attempted Murder of Security Guard Anmar Al Nueimy that occurred on November 24, 2013. Based on forensic evidence left at the scene in addition to a witness, detectives were able to identify 26 year old Ricardo Carmenate as the shooter.
Carmenate was already in custody for the homicide of Jose Roque Apaulaza. He's now charged with Attempted First Degree Murder with a Firearm.
Background: On the evening of November 24, 2013, Security Officer Ammar Akram Al-Nueimy was patrolling the Royal Oaks Apartment complex located at 7307 Casitas Court in Town-n-Country. Just before 10 p.m., Mr. Al-Nueimy confronted two unidentified male suspects trespassing on the apartment complex property.
During the course of trespassing both men, one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot Mr. Al-Nueimy twice. The suspects then fled the property.
