TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA.com) - The news of Sunday's wrong-way crash on Interstate 275 brought many raw emotions to the surface for Wade Angel.
"Well my first thought is, my heart goes out to the families of the four," said Angel, the victim's father who lives in Wesley Chapel.
Angel's son, William also died in a head-on collision on I-275 a year-and-a-half ago.
William was driving home early the morning of July 19, 2012 with two friends when a vehicle going the wrong way in the northbound lanes of I-275 hit his car near the I-4 juncture.
Hillsborough deputies arrested the other driver, Chris Ponce, whose blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit. He was charged with DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide, among other things.
