FWCC Researching Florida Snake Species

TAMPA, Fla (970 WFLA)-The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is researching three different snakes.

The Florida Pine Snake, Southern Hognose Snake and the Short Tailed Snake.  They are asking residents and visitors to notify them if they see these rare, non venomous species.


Reports of sightings can help determine where the snakes live and their status.   These particular snakes have been petitioned for federal listing.
