Tampa, Fla.-(970 WFLA)-Gasoline prices have dropped according to AAA in Tampa. The auto club is giving credit to stable oil prices.
Triple A has the statewide average at $3.57 for a gallon of unleaded regular. It cost you an average of $3.59 for a gallon a week ago.
The national average for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline has dropped from $3.63 a week ago to $3.61 this week.
Analysts say oil prices have remained relatively stable for the past weeks, helping to keep prices at the pump from spiking. Oil has been trading between $104.00 and $108.00 a barrel.
Prices could rise if trouble erupts in the Mideast and North Africa. A hurricane or storm in the Gulf of Mexico could also cause a rise in gas prices.
