Police said the suspect, 24-year-old Jonathan Charles Stevens, was driving a white Chevy Tahoe equipped with flashing red and blue emergency lights Sunday evening at in the area of
Police also said he said he told them he was a homeland security officer and he had a gun and a badge around his neck. Just before turning on his lights, police said he also called dispatch to report the same information as well.
The officer found the suspect's actions suspicious so she continued to talk to the suspect and also discovered the vehicle was not registered to a government agency, according to the TPD. After further questioning, police said the suspect admitted he was not employed by a government agency and he doesn't have a concealed weapon permit.
Police said the man is facing charges of impersonating a police officer, unlawful use of a blue light and carrying a concealed firearm.
