Food Perv on a Diet - Paleo Diet [PART 1]

Ok guys.  You may think I'm nuts, but I am seriously ready to turn in my food pervy ways for 2 weeks to attempt the Paleo Diet.  

I am going to say only 2 weeks because I don't want to get TOO ambitious with this...so I'm starting small.

Here's the deal with the Paleo Diet (I did a LOT of research online, along with the opinions/tips of my FB buds).

The definition of the concept, according to ThePaleoDiet.com: The world’s healthiest diet, is based upon the fundamental concept that the optimal diet is the one to which we are genetically adapted. The therapeutic effect of The Paleo Diet is supported by both randomized controlled human trials and real-life success stories.

Apparently you eat when you are hungry, stop when you are full (there are no parameters on this)... just take it easy on the nuts and fruit.  These are the foods you CAN eat on the Paleo Diet:

Nuts - almonds, walmuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, pumpkin

Meat and fish - chicken, turkey, duck, eggs, pork, beef lamb, bison, trout, salmon, crab, shrimp

Produce - WHATEVERRRRR you want (even sweet potatoes)

Frozen veggies - Apparently can be a huge time-savers, keep green beans and spinach in your freezer to quickly heat up.

Oil - coconut, olive, palm

Flavorings - Natural herbs, vinegar, unsweetened applesauce, and certain broths

Wish me luck!  Remember, it's ONLY 2 weeks.  But this already sounds like a long 2 weeks lol.
